The
USA is teetering on the brink of fascism (if it is not already well over
the edge). A brief glance at the preconditions for the establishment of
a fascist dictatorship reveals this to be an ineluctable fact. As
in Nazi Germany’s early years, there is a national paranoia about
“losing our culture and civilisation” to nasty, foreign elements.
In the 20s and 30s in Germany, the masses were led to blame the
Poles, Roma (“Gypsies”) and Jews for the mess that their military
had got them into. In 90s and turn-of-the-millenium USA, the masses are being
propagandised by Pat Buchanan and other “populists” that invading
hordes of Mexicanos and Moslem immigrants are destroying “white
culture and western civilization”.
(Hitler’s NSDAP was dedicated to defending this very same
“white culture and western civilisation”, and he said so in those
exact same words.) Ironically,
at the same time the US military’s Albanian fascist puppets continue
to wipe out the Orthodox Church and every Serb, Roma and even
non-Albanian Moslem in the Nato/KLA occupied parts of Serbia.
Hitler also bombed Belgrade and used the Albanian Nazis of the
Skanderberg Division of the SS to attack the Serb “untermenschen”.
So much for fascist concepts of “defending” culture and
civilisation... Hitler
used the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games as a showcase of German national
superiority and an opportunity for agitprop on a grand scale.
Bush is doing likewise in the Salt Lake Winter Olympics., where
he has sent more US troops than are in Afghanistan!
He popped up to make nationalist harangues and insisted on the
use of a “sacred” US flag taken from the bombed WTC.
You are either with us or against us. The
Nazis agitated for a restoration of the “greatness” of a mythical
German past. The USA
government and its mouthpiece media clamour for “a return to
America’s past greatness.” In
both cases the great past is a myth, and in both cases obedience to the
State is the supposed key to a return to this glorious, nebulous era. The
Nazis promised a “New Order” for Europe and a safer homeland for the
volk via the Reich’s Office
for Homeland Security. Bush
continues Daddy Bush’s “New World Order” around the world while
establishing the USA Office for Homeland Security to keep the masses
safe (?) at home. Bush
Junior continues and expands rule by Executive Order which was
established by preceding presidents: “I supported the President
[Clinton]!” in using EO to wage war illegally against Yugoslavia, he
accurately pointed out during his campaign for Reichs Chancellor.
He
wages war without consulting Congress, and in the midst of a wave of
anti-foreigner hysteria pushes through a “Patriot Act” which denies
any civil rights to an accused foreigner, just as Hitler used the
burning of the Reichstag for his political ends. In foreign (imperial) policy, Bush alone commands the USA
Congress and military apparatus, just as Hitler controlled the Reichstag
and the OKW. At
every airport in the USA, federal “officials” with grade eight
educations and minimal IQs harass grannies with knitting needles,
students with novels, “middle-eastern looking” men, Congressmen with
wooden legs and anyone whose “papers are not in order”.
This does nothing to thwart any saboteur with more brains than
one of these power mad thugs, of course, but it does make the State’s
hold over the masses stronger. After
all, if you can convince people to put up with needless intimidation by
a uniformed rabble, they will likely put up with all the other
infringements of their liberty which will follow as surely as the
Gestapo followed the SS. The
only significant obstacle remaining to the establishment of an
old-fashioned fascist State is the problem of rotating dictators on a
four to eight year basis. Nothing,
of course, precludes a fascist state which changes dictators from time
to time. Perhaps the USA
will maintain the farce of “democracy” while it wages war against
the forces of “evil” on behalf of “good”, or a president will
declare a “national emergency” which will require the suspension of
this farce, or maybe even a Buchanan-type opportunist will profit from
the panic and confusion of the expected wave of sabotage which will
surely result from the current imperial adventures. February 18, 2002 |
